Engagement Story

On December 4, 2007 we were engaged, this after walking Geneva Illinois' 3rd Street, a day that began by exploring Geneva's quaint shops, and involved a nice midday wine tasting. This was followed by lunch in the Little Traveler café. We had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, split pea soup, tea, and apple pie with cinnamon vanilla ice cream. Then, after the best meal ever, Brendan got down on one knee and read a letter he had written that ended asking if "you would do me the honor of marrying me." She cried and said yes, and we hugged for a long time. Ironically, during this entire event, nobody in the café noticed any of this! Regardless, we soon went to a lounge called 18 North in St. Charles to continue celebrating, calling our friends and family with the news. We then ended the day at Francesca's in St. Charles, having dinner with Brendan's family. Since then, we have been enjoying each other, our engagement, and planning for the most important day of our lives.
